How nice for you Emmy - A little green can be a boost in the middle of winter. Have you been out with your car?
Have noticed plants starting to grow after a warm-up and try to tell them to get back down into the ground - it's not time yet. The snow can insulate; think of the lawn under all that, and it is dormant a bit too. There have been news videos of citrus groves with the oranges etc. sprayed with water when it is cold, coating the fruit with ice to protect them. And around here they make ice wine from the frosty grapes.
Yeah, the machine is together, but I think one part is not on right and I have to take it apart again - but not today or tomorrow. The chute is somewhat loose. It is usable so I did all the walks including across the street along Clark right through a snow bank that was preventing pedestrians from getting through. Had to go around to the other side though, and I was so excited about breaking through that I turned and walked right into the side of the machine and fell down. Somewhat embarrassing.
After finishing, I brought the machine to the side porch and took off the light so I could work on it upstairs. Just as I was getting the ground wire off, my right lens fell out on the sidewalk. So, a mad rush to get a jeweler's screwdriver to put it back. Put some Loctite on the screw end to prevent it from coming undone. What else could happen? How about a sliver from the broom as I cleaned off the machine. Get a needle and fish it out. How can something so small hurt so much?
Finally got to the library to return/get more books, to stores and home.
My daughter's birthday is today. I'll send an e-mail in a bit.
My dad smoked 3 packs of Chesterfields a day and then just gave up one day. I hope you are getting help with your breathing and taking it easy, Gil.
Well, cats are tucked in - it is 10F outside tonight and was sunny today, no snowing.
Tired and ready to read a bit before snoozing.
Take care everyone..
Cats sleep because they know there's nothing better to do.
