I just ordered a plumeria called kimo on-line from a company in Maui, Hawaii.
What gets me now is that I was going to do it last June when I was in the Honolulu airport then decided not to. It would have been a lot cheaper.
I've got 40+ plants in my home right now and several are Hawaiian tropics.
I was amazed to see many of these plants growing wild alongside the road last year.
We took the tour called the Hana Maui. It was a long trip several hours which snaked up through narrow, torturous roads in the mountains. Our tour guide stopped us at a park for our prepared lunch and while there he fed several mongooses. They looked like fierce ferrets.
But, back to the plumeria: it's a root cutting with two tips. The website gives a lot of good growing info.
