I dont know if that is the correct spelling but I made one when I was in France to take to one of their friends 40th birthday party.
Its a fatless sponge and when cooked cut into 3 layers and the 'cream is made with sugar egg yolks and flour vanilla the quantity is then halved and cocoa poder if added to one half and lemon rind to the other. The bottom layer is soaked
with a mixtue of rum and vermouth then the chocolate cream added the next portion of sponge is put on and the same done to it soaked with the 'booze' Next the vanilla /lemon cream the the top layer of the sponge is soaked with the same mixture and then put on top
The the top is sprinkled with castor sugar.
After you have had one portion of this you're over the limit to drive your car
I used to love that cake but I cant take it now because of my medication if I did eat it I think I would be able to fly home without an aeroplane
But I had a great time baking it
