Hi All, Just joined this forum and it looks great. I live in the Boston area. I found this site from the ItalianGenealogy.com site. Cant wait to start looking around.
My father's family is from Sciacca Sicily. I have been doing research on them.
I am going to Sicily in October 07, and plan to do more research while I am in Sciacca.
Anyone else here from the greater Boston area.

Hi Scaduto... Welcome
It's great having you on board with us...

I - like goganga - live in Italy too... She is near the Italo/French border on the Mediterranean and I'm in the Alps! Do you have an Italo/American background? I'm thinking that you may have when I look at your 'User Name of Scaduto'! Whistle

Do tell us a little about yourself - post something in the 'Just sit awhile' Forum - that's very popular!

Scaduto,
Sciacca is a great town.... nice beaches, incredibly fresh caught fish. Locally it is known for its thermal baths, famous since Roman times and nearby there are wonderful Greek ruins like Solinunte and Segesta is not that far away. You will have a great time there.

I also come from Sicily and not far away from Sciacca and now live in Connecticut (by way of St. Louis... strange detour, I know). The town where I was born in Sicily is on road Palermo-Sciacca.

Maria
