My new edition of the Farmer's Almanac states that colors of green are going to be the fall favorite pallette ln clothing for women.

Anyone else hear anything on this years color favorites?

What colors do each of you like best in clothing choices? I like a lot of black and shades of brown.

Farmer's Almanac = green - I love it!

For autumn I think plum and rust are great colours.

I used to be an obsessive purchaser of black clothing but now I can proudly state I have beat my addiction!

I like most colours - I like to buy a lot of neutral basics and then buy one-off coloured shirts vests etc. I find this is the best way to get the most out of a wardrobe. Also try and change things with shoes and accessories.

I think even if I had an unlimited budget for clothing I would still try to get a good bargain - that feeling of getting something 75% is very nice!

Well I hate to tell you all this but as far as nail polish goes, black is it! UGGH!

Pencil skirts, skinny jeans and sweater dresses with leggings are in as are boots with wedge heels. Paton leather should also be a staple this year...and biker jackets are big again. Thankfully I still have almost all these pieces in my closet (believe it or not) except for the nail polish which I can live without.

Just finished reading the last few copies of this months fashion magazines...

Gahhh, black nail polish??? No way for me Nuccia! I love soft pastels in pale peach but I also wear red shades. I like the dress over legging look too and just put together a few outfits like this for my daughter. Hmmm, biker jackets?? Got a picture of some to post so I can see what they look like?

I did get some black leather boots but no platform heels on them.

I love plum and rust shades Sonya. And yes, I love a great bargain too. My staple items are leather and wool blazers paired with jeans and a turtle neck top. I found three very stylish Baby Phat leather purses at one of my favorite discount stores that carry designer labels.

P.S. At my job with Godiva I have to wear black from head to toe. As a result, I'm strating to get away from wearing black at other times.

I once read that people who like to wear black do so because they do not want to be noticed. I find that odd because I don't feel that way at all.

In the uk we're being told, on all the morning magazine type programs, that this years winter colour is GREY. Very depressing, you would blend in with the grey season. Suppose you could liven it up with a nice red scarf or hints of mustard, which is also an IN colour for winter. Animal print is also BIG for the season although I can't see myself in a leopard print coat somehow Shame on you

Scatterbrain - I have a really wild pair of flared leopard print trousers that would make you laugh hysteric I need to be fairly well-oiled before I will wear them, but they always attract comments. Especially when I pair them with my huge, fuzzy cardigan that has a sort of shortened, afghan look about it!

I don't like grey much. As you say - it sort of blends in to the british winter sky!

I like pastel pinks and oranges, toned down with plenty of black. I am also a big wearer of neutral shades of brown, all the way from really dark to light, and plenty of creams.

Hmm - black, brown and cream - thats me. I sound like a dulux colour chart.....

Marisa, the colors of brown, orange, yellow and peach shades look beuatiful paired with grey colors. Grey is elegant when paired with those colors.

Leopard print when it's fake, is okay. In the U.S. leopard coats became contraband in the late 70's I believe. I remember having a tax case at I.R.S. where the person was claiming to have donated a genuine leopard coat to charity. The veracity of the claim came to light after much research showing this coat (owned by a foreigner who later came to the U.S.) would NOT have been allowed to be brought into our country. There was no proof or any evidence even showing the coat was donated much less owned by this person.

Marisa, those trousers sound fab. I think a hint of animal print would be better for me, say just a pair of shoes and a belt on a black dress. As for real fur Shame on you it always suits the animal best. I once went to the races and was talking to a lady with a fox fur around her neck. It gave me nightmares for weeks after, I could imagine its poor eyes still looking at me Anxious .

Anybody got any real fashion disasters :-& (I'm still wearing most of mine Dancing )

I've gotta think on this one. Think Up until about a year and a half ago I kept my wardrobe pretty conservative. I've gotten a bit more daring though.
