There was a car show nearby - Gil should like these - couldn't stay around as I wanted to get back home to check on my mother. There were at least 100 cars there. There will be many more shows this summer.

This next one was in the same parking lot a couple of weeks ago - has a Chevy emblem in front but seems to be homemade.

Another one elsewhere -

I'll try to find more - there is one that an artist modified with all kinds of stickers etc but I have to transfer the one that I obscured the license plate on.

Dave, Thanks for posting the car pictures. I like the red and white Chevrolet in the last picture as it appears to be original. I'd rather have an old car that is restored to original condition than on that has been turned into a 'hot rod'. On the other hand a hot rod has modern running gear and should be more reliable to drive around. Did you get a digital phone and/or camera? If not, don't spend too much money on taking pictures just for me. Is it a law to block out license plates numbers before you post pictures on the internet?

The season of car shows is upon us. Next weekend there is a big one in New Britain, CT that draws hundreds of cars as it is a fund raiser for cancer research or something like that. I never went to it as I used to drive to New Britain five days a week for work and was too lazy to drive there on the weekend. The Mohegan Sun [CENSORED] usually has car shows on Wednesday nights on the roof of one of the parking garages. i went there a couple of times with my old neighbor in his 57 Chevrolet.

Hope that all is well with you, your mom and family.

Hi Gil again,

Just a phone camera for now - want to get a digital camera but that can wait - now I can take pics of interesting things around Auburn, share photos with my daughter and granddaughter, and of course the cats.

It's no problem to post the photos - that's what I intended to do, and I send them to other friends and my daughter who has a good eye for cars. She has an 84 Mustang which doesn't run right now - something wrong with the electrical system - stops in traffic, so not good.

I did see another 57 Chevy a few months ago, but was too far away to get a good pic.

By the way, that other phone was a ZTE, a make I had not heard of.

Owners with cars in a show know people are going to photograph them so I wouldn't conceal the plates. But the one of the artist's car was just in a parking place and I did not want anyone bothering her - she is a very nice person.

Anyway, I will be posting more cars and cats etc - and now I have a fast way to post at FindAGrave, except I don't have the time to go to the cemeteries.

Take care,

Dave
