I decided to plant out the tomatoes in the greenhouse last night. Now I need to pot up some of the flower seeds I had planted before I left for France.
Then I'll need to start getting the flower baskets ready I've left that a bit late but its a good job I didnt do it before because of that bad weather we had in May. Its not the thinking about it that's the problem its the getting started Very Happy

Anne has been working on her flower beds again and has decided to turn her perennial bed over to roses. Best idea yet! No more vegetables around here as the deer have won too many times already.

We have deer in the woods nearbye but far enough away from my house that I dont get bothered with them. At leasts I can lock the greenhouse door Very Happy
I think roses is a good idea and less work too but I seem to be giving myself more work using flowers that just last a year and then I take seed heads from them and plant them the following year but now I'm thinking of going for perrenials and all I would need to do then is thin them out.

We never used to have a problem with deer years ago, but they get braver and braver every year. The Winter weather and the availability of food, like acorns, make get closer to houses.

I have a 4 legged problem in my garden just now too and its not that I dont like it, I do but unfortunately Gizzy the larger of my two dogs hates it. Its a lovely black cat and now I have to go out and make sure its out of my garden before I let the dogs out but I think the cat is very interested in all the birds that come to my bird feeders- its going to be something like that old song about the woman who swallowed a fly! but my version would cat eats bird dog eats cat etc etc. and Me?? well I'd have no breath left after chasing them! Very Happy

Good luck with that one! Right now we are only feeding hummingbirds as someone told Anne that we should stop feeding the wild songbirds because they are supposed to be teaching their young how to hunt. My neighbors have a beautiful cat that hangs around sunning himself on top of our cars and in other areas of the yard. I think that is is too old and lazy to chase the birds. Anne thought he was a stray until I asked around and gave him some food which he devoured! After we found out he had a home she stopped succumbing to his begging!!!
