I think my two wee darlings!!??!! must think my visa card is a bottomless pit!!

Now it was Gizzy'a turn this morning, he was shaking his head again this morning and when I went to stroke him he let me know in no uncertain terms that he didnt want me to touch him - he does have nice sharp teeth and he has a growl like a lion Very Happy So from his body language I knew he must be in pain- earache Anxious
So I was able to get an early appointment with the vet. Then I noticed Bengy was a bit off colour too so I decided to take them both down to the vet. (Good job I did take Bengy too because he did need some more treatment.)
This house is becoming like Emergency Ward Ten. Gizzy had been given two different medications - I wont go into the details of when and how often he has to take them (whole pills and 1/2 pills!!)-- I've had to write it down and tick a box when he's had the pill. (my memory is getting I cant cope with all those different pills etc Silenced Anxious )Not olny that but Bengy was given another set of pills too.

I was told that the pills Gizzy has been given will make him 'wee' more often and Bengy is already on a diruetic so i guess for the next wee while here at least it will be llike that song--'Singing in the rain' because I guess there's going to be a few extra 'puddles' in the garden Dancing

Emmy Very Happy

Sounds very familiar. Our Luca is on thyroid medicine and the vet now has him on half a pill in the am and half in the pm. Anne also has a chart on our kitchen cabinet to tick off giving Luca his meds. Luca got sick on the way to the vets and the vet figured he was nervous riding in the car and gave Anne a box of 30 or 40 tranquilizer pills for the tune of US$40. I think it is only supposed to be one pill per ride.

Your vet must be expecting many more visits from you Very Happy
but i guess to us our pets are just part of the family so if they are ill there is no other option than take them to their Doctor.
Seems the medication for pets in US is just as expensive as it is over here.
Its odd but since my two have started on these other pills they are sleeping a lot and although the vet said it would be likely to increase Gizzy's appetite the opposite is happening!

Is Luca your cat Gil?
I'm trying to cut down on the amount of food my two get to try and get their weight down. Now when its about time for feeding the two of them have started crying like banshees and come and sit in front of me and whimper too inbetween the 'crying'
I think they want me to feel guilty but as I'm trying to do the same with my food maybe I should be doing the same back to them Think Applause Applause

Yes Luca is the older of our two cats and he has developed thyroid problems that requires medication. When we adopted him from the cat rescue lady she was calling him Luke. We changed it to Luca in honor of a friend of our daughters from Perugia, named Luca, that had to go back to Italy.
