I dont mean on the Forum (although it's true to say that too).
I'm not making much progress in getting things sorted out here. I keep jumping from one job to the next without finishing the first thing I start.
Daughter has it well thought out why I'm not finding any difference--- she says I've been told to do a bit 'work' for no more than 10 minutes then have a rest for 15 minutes she reckons that within the 15 minutes I've been resting I've created more things to tidy up than what I'd already tidied up when I was working. So if this is happening it seems I'm working backwards d'oh! Anxious ?????
Maybe I should sleep for the 15 minutes -surely I couldnt make any 'mess'
then --unless I started to sleep-walk! Very Happy Very Happy

Beautiful rendition of a pig! I don't think it would taste too good! Therefore, I agree with buying part of another pig... They should be there any day now. Nothing going on here as we are both watching the miners being rescued on BBC internet news along with the Spanish TV station with no voice.

I think I should have put that painting of the pig into the exhibition this year. One of the paintings that won a prize this year was the face of a cow!!

I watched the miners being rescued too but it was on 'sky' TV so I had sound.
It was a miracle that that they all were rescued after all that time. Just thought if it hadn't been for all the modern technology they would all have probably perished.
What I cant understand is why some families of a few of the miners are now arguing and falling out. One family its about who should organise the home coming celebrations etc. in fact it seems this family is now saying that as far as they are concerned the person who had been trapped for 70 days, their own flesh and blood, is looked on now as though he is 'dead'!! all because of them falling out over the organising of the homecoming.
If it was me and if one of my relations had been rescued after an ordeal that those miners must have gone through, I would just have been so thankful that they were alive that it wouldnt have mattered who organised anything.
I just hope the media gives the miners a bit peace so they can recover properly, because I think they perhaps will still have a lot of personal/mental problems to deal with.

I think that is the family of the miner that has a mistress. His wife found out about her while the miners were trapped. This resulted in his wife not going to the rescue as the mistress was going. The girlfriend announced she was having a party as so on and so on..........

It's a true saying Gil 'Be sure your sins will find you out'
Sad though isnt it that that had to be discovered at that time, far better if he had been honest about it beforehand but like us all I guess we never know what tomorrow will bring.

I can't argue with what you have said. I wonder if any of these guys will get any money. I read that they all live in deep poverty. Pretty sad that such poverty exists in 2010!

It was said on our TV that someone was giving the 33 miners 10,000 dollars each (think they said dollars or 's not sure which)they were also offered something else by one of the big firms- if I remember correctly it was a holiday all expenses included. The miners themselves have said they are collectively going to produce a book about their experience when trapped and share any profit made. The reporter did say that they will (individually) probably be getting offered big sums of money for interviews and perhaps will be tempted to accept that and the book may never be written.
It was also said that all the families are suing the owners of the mine and also the government for giving permission to the owners to open the mine again after a previous accident.
One of the miners was on a tv programme the other night and it seems he ran for miles and miles each day when he was trapped and cant stop doing that now he has been rescued. His wife said sometimes he has become quite agressive at one point the miner said he didnt want to talk about it- he thought he was going to die - must have been horrible. Guess they will need lots of support from medical people for a long time to come.

Doubt if any of those miners will ever go back down a mine again- I know if I was them I wouldnt and I wouldnt let any of my family go either.

Sounds like they are going through some of the same mental problems that our troops returning from the Middle East are going through. If I were one of them I'm almost certain I'd never go in a mine again!

Well I watched part of the rescue efforts as well and it was emotionally. I do feel sorry for the wife of the miner with the mistress. I wonder if he realizes how much embarrassment he caused his wife by having exposed that on TV? He didn't even seems to think of his wife when he expressed himself with his mistress for the world to see. But I am glad he and the others are safe - I just don't have any respect for the man.
