Well after all that gorgeous weather that I was complaining about being too hot, yesterday and today we've had lots of rain and today especially, it was also very windy and tonight I noticed that the roofing felt on my garden shed has been blown off so I'm keeping my fingers crossed we dont get the downpours we've had the past two days so my son can get it fixed for me. I got soaked today just going from my car into my s-i-l's house and it was literally only three steps from the car to the door of her house, she said early this morning it had been flooding in front of the house.
One good thing I didnt have to water the garden Dancing Dancing Dancing

Sorry about your shed's roof blowing away! Funny thing about the need for rain, it wasn't too long ago that we had more than average rain. Fourth of July weekend is known for fireworks as the US celebrates its Independence and we are currently in a desperate need of rain! In fact I was talking to one of my neighbors, the lady with gigantic gardens and a daughter my age and she was really stressing how bad we need rain. Her main concern is that she might have to start dragging out the hoses and it is a big job. When I see her later in the week I'll tell her that we might be getting some rain from Scotland!!!

I would send you some if I could but the gardens here really needed that rain too. Its been great in one way only the past two days, because I havent had to bring the hose out to do the watering Dancing and I have a huge garden too and a VERY LONG HOSE its not the taking it out, its the reeling it back in that's the hard part. I made a mistake when I bought it I should have bought two shorter ones instead because I have two taps in the garden where each could be fixed.
My neighbour came for me this morning and we went to a garden Centre just outside Perth It was fantastic. We had our lunch there too - I didnt get the plant I was looking for but I did buy a larger pre-formed pond for my back garden so that's another job to get done and I bought a water lily too so for the time being its sitting in a basin in my utility room. Then I spied a lovely little table with two chairs for use in the garden, (we tried the chairs out and they were really comfortable, quite high backs on them too which gave great support to my back) Yes I bought them too, problem is they came in a flat pack (but I guess it was easier to get them into the car that way)so thats another job for my son when he comes up to see me tomorrow.
Well it was cooler today but my visa card was definately feeling the heat d'oh! Think Think Dancing Dancing Very Happy Very Happy
(I'm thinking its about time I was starting to the inside of the house but I'm happier fixing the garden, Maybe I'll leave doing the things inside until the winter)

Nah!!! he never has enough free time to be bored - I just keep him extra busy and then feed him on home made pizza's to sweeten him up Dancing Dancing \:D (just joking- I sure he'd do anything for me, without the pizzas--within reason of course-as they all would - (They spoil me rotten they do) its just I'm so so so independent I'd rather do things myself and I think that's why they jump in before I make a start to try to do it myself.
But it does work both ways I help them when I can.
Yersterday I had the three grandchildren all day (his children) because with the children being on Summer holidays now its sometimes difficult to fit in their work hours so one of them is at home to watch the children (d-i-l is a nurse) and yesterday was one of those days but the children are no bother and it was really great to have their chatter all day and have some fun with them.
The next thing he says he's going to do is replace all the roof felt on my garden shed - he has fixed it temp. but he doesnt want to leave it like that. He didnt need to worry about me trying to do that I dont think the roof of the shed would hold me - and I dont want ot buy a new shed Silenced

The grandchildren should make the day fly by! I'm glad you aren't going up on any roofs - they would have a hard time replacing you.

Very Happy

The day did pass by quickly and I do miss them not being here. They will be off to Spain for 2 weeks holiday soon and when they're away their ferret and the pole cat are coming to me for their holidays. looking forward to that - I do miss the rabbits and the guinea pigs - but I've always thought I'd like to look after people's pets (small ones)when they go on holiday but my family aren't very keen for me to do that. Thought about buying a chicken run on Monday when I was at a garden centre with my friend -they sold the hens too.
Once I get my new pond fitted I'm hoping to get some frog spawn and get tadpoles/frogs. I'm not putting fish in it - dont think its big enough for that.
Oh I'm getting tired thinking about all that I want to do Brick wall Brick wall Brick wall

I don't know if anyone else is reading your posts, but just reading about all of your work tires me out. We have a wedding to go to on Saturday and a picnic on Sunday. Neither of which Anne is really thrilled about.

Hope you both enjoy your days out. Sometimes when you're not looking forward to going somewhere that's the time when you enjoy it the most, so I hope Anne isnt disappointed.

Ah!! - It's my brain that works overtime -- but the actual physical work I dont do all of it myself I just couldnt do it. But if I do just a wee bit at a time I eventually get there, at least I'm doing something and not giving in.
Only problem is when I do get a bit done (all be it with lots of help) its like what they say about the painting of the Forth Road Bridge - once you get to the end you have to start all over back at the beginning again!

Hi! I just lost a long post that I had typed out. We did have a good time at the wedding despite the loud music. The highlight for me was getting asked to dance by the bride's cousin's beautiful German wife!

We skipped Sunday's picnic as our son and his wife called from Maine and wanted to know if we wanted them to bring us some lobsters. That was an offer we couldn't refuse and they showed up with three nice sized Maine or Canadian lobsters which he cooked. He also cooked up some shrimp that his wife wanted to eat. Monday or Tuesday I'll apologize to my friend whose picnic we skipped!

I'm glad you both enjoyed the wedding- is it because we're older and they think we cant hear properly that they turn up the volume Think at functions?
It's so loud sometimes you can feel the beat of the music on the floor. What ever happened to all that soft romantic music - each song different - the music today !! well to me every piece of music sounds the same-- boom! boom! boom!
Glad you enjoyed your dance though Dancing Dancing cheer

I know how you must have felt when you 'lost' a long post- it's happened to me quite often recently but what's getting to me right now is its taking me ages to get into google and Amici also takes forever to get into my emails and on more than one occasion it wont open my emails and yet the next time I get logged in it opens them.d'oh! d'oh!

I even ran a complete security scan to find out if that was the problem but that was ok.
Guess my computer must be getting tired so if you dont get any regular posts from me you'll know it's not ME it will be my COMPUTER that's on the go slow.

I know what you mean about the floor vibrating! I think that I lost my post on here and a few others because instead of hitting the shift key I hit the Ctrl, Alt or Windows keys?
