This morning I telephoned the vet to find out the results of the latest blood tests that Bengy had. Unfortunatley he had just left for consultation at the other practice - this wasnt bad news for me because even although its further away from my home, its easier for me to get parked there and its right next door to my sister-in-law's house so I dont have to walk any distance at all carrying Bengy in his carrier box.
Very good news re the blood samples, levels of ?(cant remember the name)show a marked improvement for the better even after just 10 days on the medication. So Bengy has to keep on that medication and will be checked out again in another 4 weeks time. Vet says if this improvement continues, I should soon begin to notice a difference in Bengy's coat too. Fingers crossed.
I then told him about the problem about Bengy having problems with his back leg since he had the last blood sample taken. Vet said that Bengy was definately lame in back leg (could perhaps be a strain) and he also said it may have been caused with him struggling when he was having the blood sample taken (perhaps just like us pulling a muscle)
We had a good laugh when I was telling the vet about Bengy not being able to lift his leg to go to the toilet, without thinking I said 'I just wished I could have lifted my leg for him' this was followed by hysteric hysteric hysteric vet said, 'Now that I would like to see'followed by more hysteric hysteric In future when I go to the vet with the dogs It's ME that's going to wear a muzzle.
I've to keep Bengy quiet and let him rest and I was given more pain relief medication for him, so it will be back to not letting him try to go down the steps and more exercise for me. I did give him a bath today and he was OK after it.

Nice to hear the good news! You must have made the vet's day! Save the muzzle for the pets.

Think Think Think Think
My family may think it would be a very good idea to put a muzzle on me at times- My mouth seems to run away with my thoughts before my brain has time to register if its ok for others to hear those thoughts
Think Think Now that doesnt sound quite right!!!
Oh who cares!!!!
At least I know what I'm trying to say

Isn't that a privilege we earn with age?

That is what I try to do! My wife claims that I am too young and just use my age as an excuse!

Now Gil Just let your wife keep telling you you are too young
Just think how you would feel if she said the opposite to you.
