Funny isnt it how the items 'borrowed' by sons especially, never seem to find their way back to their true home even afrer a few 'hints' have been given. Now when they ask to borrow something I always reply (laughing of course) "yes OK so long as I get it back and dont have to as for a lone of it from you."

(ps but I usually finish up tellng them to keep it and then go and buy myself a new one Dancing )

He is supposed to be looking for one that is easy enough for me to use! One of these days I'll have to ask him how he is making out with the search!

Last year? or was it longer??I bought myself a new printer it's an EpsonStylus Photo RX620 its a printer, scanner and photocopier all combined.
Its easy to use but I must admit I dont use all the things its capable of doing but it can also make hard copies from film (slides) I did do that for some of the old slides I had from years ago and I know I should be able to download images directly from my digital camera's memory card by inserting it into slot provided but because that bits too easy to do I cant manage it yet!!!! so I still do that the old way by connecting the camera to usb port Brick wall d'oh! It uses 6 ink cartridges so you get really good print out of photographs and I've found a site where I get ink replacements at a really good price- the one thing that does annoy me is when one colour of ink runs out even if the black cartridge is full and you just want to print out a document in black print the printer wont work until all the cartridges have ink in them.
Go on Gil and treat yourself but if you do dont forget to put a large sticker on it- "NOT TO BE GIVEN OUT ON LOAN" Dancing Dancing Dancing Dancing

We have an old HP LaserJet III that I use to print tax returns and other accounting data. Years ago I tried a combo printer like you have, laser printer was in the shop, and the software it came with messed up my computer and hard drive! A couple of years ago I bought an HP 6980(?) color printer and set it up to run wireless that my wife uses for school work and I use occasionally. One of these days I'll get off my lazy butt and find a scanner. My wife says the other one is gone for good.

We're on our second scanner. We gave the first one away. We have a color laser printer, hp deskjet 845c.........ha, whatever that means.

Scanners are great when you want to post old photos onto FB (for instance). They're also good to make copies of documents.
