Thanks Em. I didn't make it public Mark and I just made it a relaxing weekend at home and he made me a lovely dinner. It was sort of funny because we talked about our lives from the time the kids were born 'til now. Time really flies and we're already starting to make plans for our 30th Very Happy

Congratulations on your silver anniversary, Liz.

I'd love to have my husband of almost 35 years cook for me but, well, let's say he isn't well-versed in the culinary arts.

Now we need to find out if Gil is good at cooking too.
My son-in-law is a fantastic cook(French Cuisine Whistle Whistle ) he did all the cooking when they had their hotel before going to France to live and he still does most of the cooking and when I go on holiday know what he goes out to buy to have ready for me arriving there??
Oh yes a cooked meal is ready for me arriving but there's also kilos of mince meat (raw) in the fridge and not just one or two tins of tomatoes-- dozens of them so I can get started to make batches of meat balls and sugo for their freezer!!!

Cooking skipped over me. My wife is a great cook along with our daughter and son.

Gil it seems to me your wife and your family must spoil you completely - what a very lucky man you are - but take a thought just what would you do if your wife and your family went on strike and refused to do any cooking just what would you do then?
Please dont say 'I would go and buy 'carry outs'!!!
Get your lovely wife to buy you an apron- you're never to old to learn something new! Dancing Dancing Dancing Dancing Dancing

If that happened I'd probably be living on raw clams and some other seafood that requires little or no work. I can grill stuff.

One thing for certain Gil if that's what you would be eating I definately wouldnt be sharing a meal- Even the thought of that makes me feel ill Silenced Silenced Silenced Everyone to his own Eh!!!! Dancing Very Happy Very Happy

Now fried fish (preferably haddock) in batter plus french fries would go down a treat!.

I was trying to post healthy choices. I like fried fish but it doesn't always have to be with batter! I also like broiled fish!
