I agree! Simy should get one of those rich hunks to buy her a house! I can't believe how expensive property is in Italy. The value of property definitely is no where related to the meager wages one earns! Simy, good luck!!!

The point is that each Italian region has different prices for houses. For example, if I buy a house in Piedmont (the region just above mine) it would be very cheap, just because Piedmont has not the sea. That's weird... I would never move up to Piedmont. If I ever decide to move elsewhere, you know where I would like to go....!

I think it fair to let you all know that we did look for a husband for a bit while she was visiting last year. Dad was particularly interested in finding her a nice looking, rich Italian man. If I recall correctly, just about everyone got involved in that one (oh, and my dad is still looking for her - he wanted one of her photos to show around). I had to stop him at one point!

Lou and I will be celebrating 30 years this June but we officially "married" 20 years ago Sept. 1. My mom and dad will be celebrating their 50th in December.
