Took some photographs of the birds tonight but the ones of the lovebirds are a bit blurred must take some more of them.
I've had to change the level of all the feeding dishes for the zebra finch he can hop a bit but he cant fly up to his basket and he cant reach his usual feeders either. He has been eating tonight but so far I havent seen him drinking, that worries me, but I've put a water dish on the floor of the cage for him as well , that could be dangerous too for him but needs must. In the photograph it seems his cage is small but that is only half the size of the cage. (ps the purple dish isnt a feeder he's claimed that one as his toilet-laughing)

The other photograph is of my little wild frustrated robin. He's been trying for weeks now to court the 'other robin' on the feeding dish. I was given this dish as a present from a friend and I was surprised to see this robin feeding there they're usually very agressive to each other thats what makes me think he's fallen head over heels in love -maybe he's been looking for a partner who doenst chirp back at him Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy its sooo funny to watch his antics- pity I cant get a video clip.

Beautiful! Do you take these from inside your house? I've tried to get pictures through the windows and they are ruined by the window screens and/or dirt.

The first three were taken with the camera lense close up against the cage cant open the cage door to get clear shots or I would be on a safari to try catch the birds --They have escaped in the house before!! It was a nightmare to get them back in the cage. The cages are all inside the house.

The one with the robin - that was taken through the window with the flash off I tried leaving the flash on but it reflects on the glass. I've tried to get one from outside but the robin comes early and it was too cold to stand and wait. Believe me my windows are not very clean but its a very large picture window from where I watch the birds so I make sure the blinds/screens are pulled right back as far as they can go just takes a bit of patience thank goodness for digital cameras I just keep thinking of the film that woud be wasted with all the shots I have to delete form the digital camera before I get one that I like.

Thanks! I never thought about turning off the flash as it has caused reflections of the windows on many of my pictures. Time to read the camera instructions.
