How about looking about in your garden or when you're out and about to see if you can find something unusual and funny to photograph. Something funny from nature?
I'm trying to collect things like that, so how about giving me some help -PLEASE
Not far from where I live here's an example this is a tree which when it had all its branches lopped off to me it looks as it has a face and is not very happy about what has been done to it Whistle Very Happy Very Happy (the eyes nose etc seem to differ every time I look at the photograph.
Have a good look at it 'what does this tree say to you?'

Emmy, my neighbor Lynda took some beautiful photos of shelf fungus growing on one of our oaks in the woods here. She framed two pictures and put them in her bathroom. Some of her bathroom walls have stone on them and you cannot imagine how perfect these natural pictures look in there.

I have several very large boulders in my back yard which we were told are remnants from a glacier that was once present here. We have stood or sat on top of those and taken photographs. People are always amazed at them.

Funny how all rocks, boulders, etc are remnants of the glaciers!

I'm off tomorrow so I'll do my best. Hope it's sunny again. I'm looking at the surveillance camera monitor and it's dark out now. My son scoffs at how he has to shrink down the photos to get them on here.

Gil, there were three "ridges" that ran along Center Ridge Road. Now only one is visible part way. This ridge is from a glacier that receded to the lake. We are a 20 minute trip from Lake Erie. When folks see it they marvel at how large it is.

Our city is named North Rigeville because of the ridges that were formed during the glacier's pass through.

We had two large boulders moved with a Kubota when we had the sunroom and computer room added on. The other three are located a little bit further back.

Quite familiar with large boulders. I think Connecticut and probably all of New England is held together by boulders.

Well, I took some pix so we'll see how they came out. I almost got a shot of a deer but she ran too quickly. Usually they'll let me get really close. I did get a pic of the long-eared owl but he's up really high. He might not show up. He and his missus are raising a young-un. Last night on my walk I heard them hooting. I was a little worried because the juvenile owl's hoot is so very different from the adult. I wondered if it was some other animal. After all, Ron, in the woods behind me, said he tracked a Bob Cat through the woods here.

What I really need to get a picture of is one of my favorite birds, the Pileated Woodpecker. He's a beauty. During the years I've started birding I recorded 38 different bird species on our property. May 1st our Ruby throated humming birds return and very soon the beautiful Rose-breasted Grosbeaks.

I realized that many people in this development have some huge boulders on their front lawns as well. We do too.

The photos are up under a separate topic. The owl did show up in my pictures but quite small so I chose not to post the two shots of it.
