Is anyone else out there including our members interested in Art and Craft.
Me for one--I should be thinking about turning my house into a craft shop! I just cant resist new craft CD's that come out and new gadgets too-- well least said soonest mentioned in that sector. I may tell you all later what I bought today!

Its VERY addictive once you get hooked and Gil no cop out!!!!this is not just for the female species it's well known that many men are far better at this when they get serious about it!!

If anyone out there is interested and are not already members why not just register here then you could post your ideas etc too- registration is free.
I've lots and lots of links I could post and ideas too.

What I'm searching for at the moment, just to save me making the pattern/instructions myself, are instructions of how to go about making little waterproof (if possible) boots?/shoes? for my two wee dogs so they wont slip on the ice etc when they go outside- it does happen believe me, a few years back the youngest dog slipped on tiles and he broke his leg.

I have just found free patterns for crochet dog coats made from crochet squares--very fashionable at the moment.

Could it may be possible in the future we could have an 'Amici' art/craft group/section it would be such fun!! Even telling each other about the many disasters we've had. Tomorrow I'll tell you about one of my disasters.

I have another good idea too wouldnt it be nice if all of us no matter where in the world we lived learned to crochet or knit one square for a blanket (or any other item)- either one every day or even one a week and as we go along tell each other about our experiences and then when the blanket (item) was complete it could be used as a knee blanket or whatever you planned to make and use it for yourself or give it to a charitable organisation and the nice part would be sharing all the successes etc with each other here at Amici.

Goganga
Shame on you Shame on you Shame on you Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

-never too late to learn how to do anything when you put your mind to it

I can post your instructions step by step

eg
To sew on a button!
1. you need the garment where the button is missing
2.you need the button
3.you need a needle and thread to match the garment(if you dont know what a needle is I'll post a picture.)
4 depending on how many holes are in the button you just push the threaded needle down one hole through to the underside of the garment then push the threaded needle back through to the front making sure it comes up through a different hole in the button etc etc
One important fact make sure you are sewing the button on opposite a buttonhole
Illustated version can be supplied if required.

white flag white flag white flag Big Laugh Big Laugh Big Laugh Bye

Cheeky Emmy.

Goganga make sure there is none of this results results results results results cry! cry! cry! it not necessary!!!

I've got a sewing machine. I use it for repair work only. Well, I did make my kids some costumes once..........a long, long time ago.

I used to make stuff in my high school Home Ec. class. These projects consisted of jumpers, skirts, aprons (for all the nuns at my highschool) draperies (for the East Cleveland mayor's office) and felt Christmas stockings for all the girls in my class of 70. There were only 69 students I graduated with so it went fast.

This sounds like a good idea for Amici though.

Simy, I must admit that I no longer do my own sewing work. If I need pants hemmed or a zipper replaced I take them to the seamstress at our dry cleaner store.
