I've had one/two tomatoes (just 1or2) from the plants in my greenhouse but my cucumbers Think Think Shame on you Shame on you not even one .Plenty of lovely yellow flowers but NO cucumbers. I've grown them before and had huge crops but this year I cant find even one wee one.
Just cant think what the problem can be.

Cucumbers are usually the easiest thing to grow Emmy.

Has it been dry where you live? Try watering daily if that is the case. Are they in at least six to eight hours of sunlight??

I think I was a bit late in planting the cucumbers and I have been giving them lots of water too.
They must have heard me complaining because I now have finally got 3 cucumbers with more on the way and my tomatoes are coming along now too.
The weather is so changeable just now I think the poor plants must be getting confused too.

We've had a crazy summer climate here in Ohio too Emmy. It has been mostly cool. We had a week or two of really hot, humid weather which is great for growing things.

So, see, the tip for getting cucumbers to grow is to complain about them when they can hear you.......... Very Happy

I think the only thing that really did well in my garden this year was one cucumber plant and the onions. The tomatoes got a late start but they finally ripened, yet the leaves look horrible.. come to think of it, all the leaves on every plant I have look horrible this year. I'm not surprised with this crazy weather.

I'm beginning to think my tomato plants and cucumber plants had something against me this year Think Think

It seems I had a bumper crop of tomatoes when I was in France and some cucumbers too.

Think but most of them had disappeared before I got home my family assured me they were very good Drool Drool Drool

but I had plenty when I was in France. This year my s-i-l had planted double beef tomatoes I had never heard of them before. They were HUGE and not very many seed inside mostly solid flesh just perfect for making sugo one of them weighed just under 1 kg
It was just great you just had to open the kitchen door - no greenhouse - and there was everything you could wish for in fruit and vegetables.
I made one mistake though I went picking what I thought were pears and it turned out they were quince. Silenced Right now they are having a bumper harvest of walnuts.

Funny as we have a lot of Hickory nuts. I drove by a house today that had plenty of Black walnuts under the tree. I guess hte deer won't go hungry this Winter.

Gil, I recently read that there has been a bumper crop of acorns so perhaps it's true of all tree nuts this year.

The squirrels should be happy.
