She does sound better eh Gil??

Speaking of gardening at night, we have flood litghts in the back that provide so much illumination that it looks like day time. You can see every detail on the ground so gardening at night would be perfect.

Hey Rosie
Are you going to get 'committed' too?
Big Laugh

Yes you're both correct I am/was feeling much better but only when I do what I'm told.

I must do what my daughter says and when I feel able to go out in the garden and do some light pruning only to do it for 15 minutes max. and then go in, sit down and rest for a while before going out again. So easy to say but not so easy to follow instructions when you are enjoying yourself. I did the same again today but it wasnt being in the garden I went out shopping and stayed out longer than I should have. So if I misbehave I have to pay the consequences but I will rest tomorrow an everything will be ok again The only thing that's feeling the pain more than me at the moment is my visa card - it's been rather overworked today so poor thing will definatley need a rest tomorrow Big Grin

I was just told to move a car off the grass before it kills the grass. I told my wife it is too early to worry about the grass as it is still Winter!

Gil you can come and park your car here on top of the moss I have growing on parts of my drive. Applause

As I cant get my car in the garage I've noticed if I keep parking the car in the same place for a while the moss disappears in that area so I'm needing a few more cars to come and park to help me get rid of the moss. I've tried all sorts of things to try to get rid of it but it just keeps coming back. Big Furios Big Furios

but leaving the car parked on the grass !!

Well that's a good enough reason meantime - BUT dont forget the grass WILL be starting to grow again soon and hopefully we'll soon be seeing the end to the snow.

So Gil, you had better not leave that job on hold for too long - take heed and listen to your 'better-half'.

An effective way of removing moss and mold from cement, bricks and even wood siding on your house is to mix full strength bleach with water. Spray or pour it on the area needing to be treated. As in the case of our red brick walkways and patios, my husband mixes equal parts of bleach and water then pours it out of the bucket and uses a large brush to spread it. Leave it on and within an hour or so the mold and moss is gone. You'll notice your cement driveway is a lot whiter. We've been doing this for many years and it has not damaged the bricks or cement. Of course, keep it away from you plants.

This works wonderfully well on the redwood siding of our house that gets a lot of shade.

Yes, it does Gil.

Emmy, you are probably not making the solution strong enough because this really works.

Must have another try but not right now because I've noticed the blackbirds etc.are doing quite a good job of using it--time for making nests.
Must try to take some photographs
Emmy
ps Yes its definately worse in the shade but what I cant understand where it's growing the ground isnt damp Think

Long as the air is humid enough the moss will grow.
