I don't have a dishwasher and I hate to scrub the bottom of my pots and pans to get those awful "burn" or "grease" stains out.

Does anyone know of an easier way???

Try in this way: boil water in the pan to loosen food. Or sprinkle baking soda generously over the burned food and moisten with water. Let stand for few hours.

Other easier ways are welcome. Wink

If you're talking about the outside of the pan but worse than this:

To remove the encrusted grease or fat, turn the pan upside down and place over a smaller saucepan. Now just spread tomato ketchup

over the base and leave overnight... (do NOT use on aluminium pans)!

You will find that the burnt on fat etc. will wash off quite easily.

If you're talking about food encrusted INSIDE the pan then cover the charred food with warm water and add 2 tbsp. baking soda for every 1 lt. water (bicarbonato di sodio) - leave overnight to soften. It will then clean easily... Any really stubborn pieces of food can then be removed with some baking soda on a sponge.

Have your kids do the dishes. That's what my Mother used to do.

WOW!!!!
If tomato ketchup does THAT to the pan just think what it's is doing inside your body after you have eaten that lovely plate of 'chips' covered in the sauce Anxious
ps I use a 'brillo pad'

Tomatoes are very acidic, before the "purple pill" I had heartburn within minutes of easting pasta with tomato sauce!
